About the Network

We are a friendly, member-driven network of lawyers in New York who have qualified, trained, or practiced in the UK. We host talks, meet-ups, panels, and networking events.

We hope to provide opportunities for connection amongst UK lawyers in New York, deepen relations between the English and American legal systems and promote English law and the English legal system in New York.

The Founders

  • Jonathan is a dual-qualified barrister and New York attorney. He is a member of 4 Pump Court in London. He lives in New York and practices in both jurisdictions and around the world.

  • Luke is a dual-qualified English Solicitor practicing between New York and London. He is a partner at Hausfeld LLP.

The Board

  • Jennifer Stevens is Managing Partner at Laura Devine Attorneys in New York. She is a UK qualified solicitor and foreign legal consultant in New York, with extensive experience advising on a range of UK immigration applications including Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility, sponsorship licences and compliance, Global Talent and Creative Workers.

  • Rob is litigation partner at Freshfields in New York. He is admitted as an Attorney in State of New York, as a Solicitor in England and Wales, and as a Legal practitioner in New South Wales, Australia.

  • Chessie is a dual-qualified attorney and solicitor. She is an Associate in the litigation group at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz P.C., specializing in professional responsibility and legal ethics.

  • Fraser is a New York State-qualified attorney, assisting companies, entrepreneurs, and artists on all aspects of U.S. business immigration law. Originally from Glasgow, he obtained his LL.B. (Honours) in Scots Law from the University of Glasgow before moving to the United States to pursue an LL.M. in International Legal Studies at New York University School of Law.
